High Performance Swimmers

Since 1987, Fluid Mechanics has helped thousands of swimmers make the transition from competitive swimmers to high-performance athletes. What's the difference? A competitive swimmer loves the sport and the competition, whereas a high performance athlete sets goals and uses swimming as a vehicle to obtain their goals. Our expert consultants guide competitive swimmers toward achieving their goals by providing a visual framework that transforms their technique. Our scientific approach is effective and lays the groundwork for major progression.

Our services are provided by Fluid Mechanics’ highly trained team of Certified Consultants. Our consultants specialize in hands-on teaching methods and focus on the total development of the swimmer. We strive to create a balance of education and fun to produce a well-rounded learning experience.

Fluid Mechanics Consultants must complete our thorough certification process before they can represent Fluid Mechanics in our clinics.  In addition, all Fluid Mechanics Consultants must maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding.

The certification training process consists of forty hours of classroom instruction followed by a written exam and an oral presentation.  Upon successful completion of these exams, the consultant candidate enters his or her apprenticeship which has three stages.  During the first stage, the consultant observes each type of clinic offered by Fluid Mechanics.  The second stage of the apprenticeship consists of the candidate working hand in hand with a Senior Certified Consultant on various types of clinics. The third and final stage is the Evaluation Stage.  During this stage, the candidate leads clinics under the watchful eye of one of our Senior Certified Consultants.

A consultant candidate becomes a Certified Consultant upon the approval of the Senior Certified Consultant supervising their training and development.
