Our Policies
Upon receipt of your order, our facilities and Certified Consultants are scheduled and guaranteed payment for their time by Fluid Mechanics, Inc. We require all clients to comply with our policies.
General Policy
Personal Information
Your personal information will never be shared with third parties.
Valid Orders
All services must be completed within one year from the original date of order.
Transfers
All Fluid Mechanics services are transferable. If a swimmer is unable to attend an event, they may choose to assign another swimmer to take their place in that same event. Any negotiations regarding payment shall take place between the swimmers and their families. Fluid Mechanics assumes no liability for credits for transferred events.
Emergency Situations
In emergency situations, we ask that you call us immediately to make us aware you will not be able to attend. We will then direct you to our website where you may download and submit a form entitled, "Client Request for Special Consideration". These forms are reviewed by the FM Board and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. The board is very strict in cases where someone has made a decision to attend another event, such as a meet, and very lenient in situations that are beyond your control, such as a broken leg.
In cases of severe weather, our policy is that if the consultant can get to the facility and the facility is open then the event is running. If for any reason we cannot make it to the facility or it is closed, we will contact all clients with the telephone numbers they have provided to us. In a circumstance where a participant is traveling from an area that may have different weather than the facility where the event is taking place, the client must contact Fluid Mechanics as soon as possible and the Emergency Situations policy will be utilized.
We have a strict policy regarding rescheduling for both our clients and ourselves. We think it is only fair to each other that way. This policy is posted on the internet and accompanies every order.
Cancellation policy as of September 1, 2011
Account Credits, Rescheduling, Cancellations, and Refunds
Account Credits and Rescheduling for Flexible Scheduling
Last minute cancellations impact our upcoming schedule and reservations. If an event is rescheduled:
• More than 14 days prior to the event, your account will be credited 100% of total event fee.
• Between 5 and 14 days prior to the event, your account will be credited 85% of total event fee.
No refunds will be awarded for cancellations made within 4 days of to the scheduled event.
All credits will remain on your account one year from the date issued.
Account Credits and Rescheduling for Set Scheduling
Set Schedule events are considered "use it or lose it" style events that offer no make-ups, refunds, or credit on accounts because the special discounts offered are based on limiting the work of our scheduling department. Therefore even if one session is missed the pricing is still beneficial to the client over our standard pricing.
Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations made more than 4 days prior to your scheduled event will be refunded 85% of total event fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations made within 4 days of the scheduled event.
Residential Swim Camp
All Residential Camp orders are subject to a $250 non-refundable fee. Cancellations made before May 1st will receive a refund less the $250 fee. Cancellations made before May 15th will receive a refund less a $400 fee. No refunds will be given on or after May 15th.
