Muscles Marinara

As the Avatar of Strength, I love to display my fantastically toned physique. I don’t pass up any opportunity to hit the gym for some extra reps. With all this muscle, I can easily win a weight lifting contest. But, that doesn’t mean I have the upper hand in the water. It takes more than strength to win a race. With the help of my fellow Avatars, like Liquid Lou and Sara Bellum, I have learned the importance of technique and control to get ahead.

Muscles are an integral part of the anatomy. They are responsible for converting energy into motion, as they function to produce force and cause movement. Whether I am cross training or pumping iron, there is no doubt I am a man of action. Determined to remain in action, I also specialize in flexibility and injury management. Building muscles creates strength, and helps support and protect the body’s skeletal system, while increasing flexibility helps protect the muscles and prevent injury.

I incorporate stretching into everyday exercise programs, which helps improve the quantity and quality of my muscles, joints, and overall health. But, stretching is just one way to prevent injury. During every hard work out, I perform warm up and cool down sets, vary my exercises to improve flexibility, and I always pay attention to my body’s limitations when I am feeling sore.

Biography

As a youngster, Muscles Marinara was very active. He was always creating “supreme domination” contests with the neighborhood kids. Arm wrestling, thumb wrestling, you name it, anything to prove he was the strongest. When he became old enough to work, he lifeguarded at the beach every summer, saving lives and flexing his brawny muscles. In high school, M.M. became a professional weightlifter. During his career, he learned the importance of incorporating stretching and flexibility training into his strength training to prevent injury. He decided that he wanted to help other athletes safely excel in their sport, so he became a personal trainer and earned his certification at Feel Daburn Academy. But, that wasn’t enough. He went on to Barbell University to study physical therapy and graduated at the top of his class. Soon, M.M. will also have a yoga certification under his champion belt.
