Fluid Mechanics

The founder of Fluid Mechanics, John B. Waldman, is a former world-ranked swimmer and renowned leader in competitive swimming instruction.  Waldman and his team of experts created the world’s first program that utilizes life-like avatars to teach the science of swimming.  Fluid Mechanics has released the “Core of the Stroke” workbook which uses these life-like avatars to educate coaches and swimmers about the foundation of all high performance technique.

Our “Core of the Stroke” workbook demonstrates how to:

  • Solidify the core and maintain stability
  • Increase power and propulsion
  • Utilize energy efficiently and transfer it into forward movement of the body
  • Decrease resistance

The “Core of the Stroke” workbook breaks down the body’s skeletal anatomy and represents ideal swimming techniques that maximize power and energy efficiency. The techniques found in our workbook will help swimmers conserve energy by reducing water resistance and maximizing propulsive forces.
